Brian Erler - Owner
At age 17, Brian Erler's interest in skydiving was piqued after seeing the James Bond movie, Living Daylights. The opening scene of this movie started Erler on a career path neither he nor his family could have imagined. From this point on, Brian made it a mission to ensure skydiving would be a big part of his life.
Originally from South Dakota (not exactly a skydiving mecca), Erler would eventually attend Purdue University and find the closest drop zone to learn how to jump. Following his first skydive, he was hooked as he aggressively pursed become licensed as much as time and a student check book would allow.
In the 1990's and early 2000s, Brian made a name for himself as one of the top skydiving photographers and videographers in the sport having had his images published in magazines around the world. Brian was best known for his space shuttle launch photos taken from free fall whenever one of Nasa's space shuttles were launching from Cape Canaveral.
In 2002, Brian looked to make a change from working at a skydiving center to owning one. He established Long Island Skydiving Center in East Moriches, NY and hasn't looked back. Brian has an excellent reputation in the skydiving industry and is very humble despite his many accolades.
Brian is at LISC on most days, so should you see him, say hello and ask him about some of his favorite jumps!
