Skydiving Prices: What to Watch For

Skydiving Prices: What to Watch For

Published: November 10, 2017

Skydiving prices differ depending on where you choose to jump. While the experience of skydiving is, in our opinion, priceless, we recognize that the dollars you pay mean a lot. So we're here to help you get the most out of your skydive.

Here are our tips on what to watch out for when booking your first skydive.

Invest in the best

Becoming a great skydiving instructor isn't easy. Though we all love what we do, the journey we've had to take to get to this point is one of hard work, effort, and dedication.

Of course, you wouldn't want it any other way, right?

Your skydiving instructor is the person who's taking you on your journey, the one who's going to be with you throughout the jump and who's going to operate the equipment for you both. You want to be sure you're jumping with someone with the experience and the knowledge to do all of that - and more.

That's why it's important to ask about the experience and qualifications of the team at your skydiving center of choice. Here at Long Island, for example, we're a USPA (United States Parachute Association) member skydiving center, which means that all of our instructors have passed USPA exams. It also means that our center is guided by the regulations of that body.

It's something that may add to the skydiving prices, but that is important in ensuring you get the experience you deserve.

Think about the whole experience

Skydiving isn't just about falling.

Yes, freefall is arguably one of the best parts of your jump. Indeed, the whole airplane ride, the jump, the freefall, the parachute ride... it's all an incredible experience that's hard to describe until you've tried it for yourself.

But the jump isn't the only thing that will make your day special. The customer service you receive, the facilities you enjoy... they're all an important part of your time with us and your memories, too.

Choosing the cheapest skydiving center may save you a few dollars, but can also leave you with poor service or substandard facilities. Choosing the 'best' over the cheapest means you're much more likely to have a special experience you'll remember forever.

Let reviews tell the full story

Reviews can give you a lot of insight into a skydiving center and its operation. If other jumpers have enjoyed their experience and are willing to say so in a review, chances are, you'll enjoy it too!

Wherever you choose to jump, be sure to check reviews from other jumpers first. You'll find ours here...
